Fascinating freaks of evolution, the jellyfish that have long floated in this lake without predators have gradually lost their ability to sting, making for a truly surreal swimming experience. Whether there's any connection, a small but suspiciously consistent trickle of travellers have returned from the Togeans with an ear infection they blame on their dip in the lake.
