Royal Archives & Museum Lesotho

Morija's unremarkable neighbouring village, Matsieng, is the unlikely site of a royal compound. A new palace was built in Maseru in the '60s, but the royals still weekend here. The adjoining archives and small museum display items from the royal collection and information and documents about the monarchy. Staff can give you a tour (M40) of the village and point out notable elements of the compound.
